Fall 2018 Florida NENA Conference
This conference is tentatively scheduled for 21-25 Oct 2018 at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa located at 4000 Sandestin Blvd South, Miramar Beach, Fl 32550. 850-267-9600. Lesil Taylor from Bay County is currently working on acquiring a contract for review.
Joint APCO/NENA Spring Conference Schedule
On the last day of the May 2017 conference in Daytona, Rolf, Laurie, and I met with the APCO presidency and their conference planning team. Florida NENA had previously suggested that one organization (APCO) select the conference site and the next year the other organization (NENA) select the site.
A good point was made by the APCO team that conference planning is much easier when you use the same venue over and over again. With that in mind, a tentative rotating conference location was drafted. The current plan is:
2018, Orlando *contract is signed by both APCO & NENA
2020, no joint conference as National APCO will meet in Orlando
2024, Wild Card *location not as yet determined
Because the joint conference site requires a minimum of 10,000 sf for the vendor hall, locating a venue that has this capacity and can meet our low room rate needs is not easy to find.
Michelle Clark, NOFA VP, published a survey to all 456 Fl NENA members on 27 June and to date has received 37 responses. Please take the time to respond to the survey.
